It's hard to explain, so here it goes... one day while I was working, I was trying to come up with the idea for a true Shelltoon TV logo. I didn't want it to have any copyrighted characters, but the little TV guy had to be in there. I just imagined the words "Shelltoon" and thought to myself, how can I make this more interesting? The first obvious thing that came to mind was the two Os would have pupils in the middle to look like eye balls. With the S, I thought of having it split for some reason, so I just took a capitalized O and split it in half. It seemed interesting enough but I wanted to also stretch some of the letters, and combine them kinda like the Star Wars logo. The TV at the bottom is connected to the Shelltoon name, and I know the final result looks REAL confusing, but it was something I whipped up on short notice. I'd been planning this logo for a week.

The toughest part was placing The Little TV Guy somewhere on the logo. I was insisting on putting him in between "Shelltoon" and "TV" but his antennae would have been cut off unless I increased the space. I could have had him balanced between the Ls, but I kept thinking to myself "Isn't that a little too high?" So at the last minute with my imagination almost fried, I placed him on the N. Anyway, just goes to show you that something as simple as this takes a while to realize.
